Being a great cook doesn’t mean starting from scratch every. single.time. Sometimes, you just need that je ne sais quoi to turn Trader Joe’s hummus into Omg! Did you make this?!
So—let’s make this one easy. All store bought hummus really needs is (well, first—to be removed from its plastic tub. Please, please, please. 🙏🏻) an artful spoon swirl, a drizzle of olive oil, and a fun and festive topping.

Food La La Recipe: Jazzy Hummus
Browned Butter Hummus
Ingredients:
1 Container store bought hummus
1 TBS Butter
1 TBS Pink peppercorn
1 TBS Black sesame seeds (or I love TJ’s Everything Bagel Seasoning)
Steps:
Transfer hummus to your favorite bowl, and using the back of the spoon, make a little well around the perimeter
Warm the butter over medium high heat, just until it browns (this happens in just a few minutes so don’t walk away!). Let cool (if it’s hot it will start to melt the hummus!)
Pour butter into the well then top with pink peppercorn and black sesame seeds. Serve!
Herby Olive Oil Hummus
