Most mornings I have a green smoothie for breakfast because it requires little effort (read: few dishes!) and I can pack a ton of good stuff in before my day even begins. It’s usually cashew milk, spinach, lemon (with the peel even), hemp seed, avocado, and a few berries.
But if you make the same thing, it’s easy to get in a rut. Smoothie bowls are fun because you get the smoothie texture plus a few crunchy or chewy goodies on top for a texture balance!
Try one of these three recipes to mix it up—plus, it’s kinda fun to ‘eat’ a smoothie with a spoon!
Directions: For each combo below, put the liquid in the blender first so it blends up easier. Blend until smooth then transfer to a bowl—be generous with toppings!
